Thank You for an apple season that was by far the best. Friends returning, new friends made. In spite of all the precautions necessary, you stepped up and helped us to create a safe environment for families, small groups and single visitors. Have a great year, stay safe and be well. Getting ready!

Getting ready for this Saturday, it’s going to look different this year just like the rest of the world, but we’ll be ready!

2020 U-Pick and COVID

For now it’s the new normal, we’ll wear ours to protect you; you wear yours to protect others.

  • Masks and social distancing (6 ft +) requested by all those school age and up during check-in and check out.
  • Family groups are asked to stay together; supervise children.
  • We will not provide 5 gal. 1/2 bu. pails this season but if you have your own bring it.
  • We will have 1/2 bu. (20 Lb) grocery bags available to pick in however.
  • Pre-picked McIntosh and Cortland apples will be available in 5 Lb and 10 Lb bags.
  • Hand sanitizing stations will be available as well as a portable toilet.

The rain, we had an inch, was so welcome. Every bit helps. We have not yet settled on  an opening date, but we will let you know soon. 

What is absolutely happening will be following the protocols recommended for businesses regarding COVID 19; details to follow as we enter September. 

It will be a journey for us all.

Our last weekend Saturday and Sunday Oct. 26 & 27.

Saturday sounds like the pick of the weekend and we will be open until 5PM; Sunday maybe not so great…..

Still many McIntosh and Cortlands for winter pies and applesauce. Also Northern spy, Spencer and Granny Smith.

OPENING DAY

Opening day is this weekend! We’ll be open on Saturday September 14th and Sunday September 15th from 8:30am to 4:30pm for pick your own apples.

While we do welcome dogs to Hardy Farms Orchards, per federal guidelines the dogs (and other pets) cannot enter the orchards as outlined in the Food Safety Modernization Act of 2011. You’re welcome to bring your dogs and walk them around the green spaces near our orchards, but we have to ask that they be left in your vehicle while you pick apples.
